Job description

We are looking for an Application Engineer to serve as the technical and commercial bridge between customer requirements and our equipment solutions. This role is responsible for reviewing customer specifications, process conditions, technical documentation, and commercial requirements to develop accurate and competitive pumping and grinding solutions.

The successful candidate will work directly with customers, sales teams, and internal engineering groups to evaluate applications, perform pump selections, prepare quotations, and support projects throughout the sales cycle. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical and profitable solutions.

As a customer-facing technical expert, the Application Engineer will provide application guidance, recommend equipment selections, and ensure proposed solutions align with customer needs and operating conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Process preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in applications engineering or technical sales, with a focus on pumping technologies.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications.
  • Experience with progressing cavities, grinders, or positive displacement pumping technologies is an asset.
  • Familiarity with industries such as Water/Wastewater, Chemical Processing, or Mining is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical analysis and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and take initiative.
  • Proficiency in project planning, multitasking, and a commitment to high work standards.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by projects.

  • Review customer specifications, process data, and commercial requirements to identify application needs.
  • Select suitable pumping and grinding equipment, considering process conditions and technical specifications.
  • Perform sizing, selection, and performance analysis for pumps and grinders using engineering tools.
  • Develop technical solutions that optimize product performance and commercial value.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support sales teams and customers with technical clarifications during the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Operations, to enhance project execution.
  • Assist in developing application tools, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for business processes and internal systems.
  • Represent the company professionally at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
