Job description

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Data Engineering to lead end-to-end data management for a Retail Media Network platform. In this role, you will oversee data pipelines, cloud data platforms, governance, analytics enablement, and reporting solutions that support media performance, retail operations, and executive decision-making. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data products that drive business insights.
  • Pay Range :$75/hr on w2 to $80/hr on w2

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end data management across ingestion, transformation, integration, quality, governance, and analytics.
  • Design and oversee scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage data integration across multiple enterprise systems while ensuring reliability, performance, and data integrity.
  • Define and enforce data quality, governance, metadata, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee data modeling, semantic modeling (LookML), and analytics-ready datasets for self-service reporting.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Support retail media reporting, campaign performance measurement, audience insights, promotional analytics, and operational reporting.
  • Lead data engineers and analysts while coordinating with IT, marketing, and business teams to deliver high-impact data initiatives.
  • Develop documentation for data definitions, mappings, transformation logic, and business rules.
  • Drive continuous improvements in data architecture, monitoring, pipeline performance, and reporting accuracy.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, Business Intelligence, or Analytics, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, and cloud data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure, and Azure data services.
  • Experience with Looker and LookML for reporting and semantic data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python and data processing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or PySpark.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience supporting retail, marketing, media, or advertising datasets; Retail Media Network experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver scalable, business-focused data solutions.
