This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Engineer (Remote, International) based in Netherlands.

This role sits within a high-performance engineering environment focused on building and scaling AI systems powered by large language models and real-time data. You will work on designing and deploying AI-driven components that enhance internal workflows and user-facing experiences, spanning data retrieval, conversational interfaces, and intelligent decision systems. The work operates at the intersection of machine learning, distributed systems, and advertising technology, where performance, scale, and latency are critical. You will also contribute to improving underlying data infrastructure to support LLM-based applications and evolving AI workloads. This is a highly collaborative role involving engineers, analysts, and product teams, with strong emphasis on experimentation and rapid iteration. You will have significant autonomy to explore emerging AI frameworks while helping define the long-term technical direction of generative AI systems.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain LLM-powered AI components supporting internal tools and user-facing applications.
  • Develop systems spanning data retrieval, embeddings, conversational interfaces, and intelligent automation workflows.
  • Experiment with and evaluate new AI models, frameworks, and architectures in the rapidly evolving generative AI landscape.
  • Improve and optimize underlying data infrastructure to support scalable and reliable LLM usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to identify and deliver AI use cases.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and evolution of generative AI systems within a high-scale AdTech environment.
  • Support production-grade systems operating at high throughput, low latency, and large-scale data volumes.

Requirements:
  • Strong Python programming skills with experience in data manipulation libraries such as NumPy and Pandas.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational data systems.
  • Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with AI/ML systems such as LLM inference, embeddings, vector databases, or ranking models.
  • Experience working with distributed systems or containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes is a plus).
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and data-driven problem-solving approaches.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently.
  • Proactive mindset with ownership, accountability, and a strong sense of initiative.
