Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Director, Product Applications. This position will be located in Rolla, MO.
Summary:
The Director, Product Applications is a senior technical leader responsible for leading Brewer Scienceโ€™s Product Applications organization as the global center of product characterization, application readiness, technical collateral, and commercial technical enablement.
This role ensures Brewer Science products are technically understood, fully characterized, and ready for successful customer adoption from development through mature production. The Director, Product Applications leads the organization that defines how materials should be tested, applied, integrated, supported, and represented through high-quality technical collateral.
The role partners closely with R amp;D, Product Management, Quality, Operations, and Field Applications Engineering (FAE) to translate development learning into customer-ready processes, enable customer design-in success, and convert innovation into commercial growth and success.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable systems and capabilities to support portfolio growth and evolving business needs.
  • Build and lead a high-performing technical organization with clear structure, priorities, performance expectations, and cross-functional interfaces.
  • Establish product application ownership, ensuring accountability for Best Known Methods, application notes, process recommendations, technical data packages, and application limits/process windows.
  • Partner with R amp;D from concept through commercialization to define critical technical questions, characterization strategies, test methods, qualification plans, and release readiness criteria.
  • Own development and maintenance of technical collateral, including integration guides, datasheet content, troubleshooting guides, qualification support packages, and product training materials.
  • Enable Field Applications Engineering and commercial teams with technical tools, benchmark data, process guidance, and support needed to accelerate customer design-ins and qualification success.
  • Support strategic customer engagement for development materials and next-generation opportunities, translating customer learning into product requirements and commercialization plans.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Quality, Operations, and Commercial Leadership to convert innovation into commercial success.
  • Establish operating metrics, prioritization systems, escalation paths, and closed-loop voice-of-customer processes that improve technical response and product readiness.
Required Education amp; Credentials:
  • BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related field
  • 12+ years in semiconductor materials, process engineering, applications engineering, or advanced packaging
  • 5+ years leading technical teams
  • Strong understanding of customer qualification flows and semiconductor process integration
  • Proven success leading through complexity and organizational change
  • Strong communication and stakeholder leadership skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience in lithography materials, packaging materials, temporary bonding/de-bonding, or process chemicals
  • Experience leading product commercialization / NPI processes
  • Global experience supporting customers across Asia, US, and Europe
  • Strong data discipline (DOE, correlation studies, SPC, GR amp;R)
