Job description

The Program Manager/Digitalization Lead is responsible for enabling, guiding, and accelerating regional manufacturing digitalization efforts while preserving plant ownership of execution. This role supports pilots and early deployments, builds regional capability through expert networks, and ensures successful reuse and scaling of proven digital solutions. The role provides decision-ready insights and structured roadmaps to regional and BU leadership, acting as a critical bridge between plant operations, automation/IT, and enterprise digital strategy.

Position Summary

The Digitalization Leadis responsible forenabling, guiding, and accelerating regional manufacturing digitalization efforts while preserving plant ownership of execution. This role supports pilots and early deployments, builds regional capability through expert networks, and ensures successful reuse and scaling of proven digital solutions. The role provides decision-ready insights and structured roadmaps to regional and BU leadership, acting as a critical bridge between plant operations, automation/IT, and enterprise digital strategy.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Standard Duties:

  • Support and enable digitalization pilots and early-stage deployments across regional plants without assuming long-termexecutionownership.
  • Preserve and reinforce plant accountability while providing hands-on technical and application support as needed to ensure successful startup and stabilization.
  • Lead and coordinate a regional network of digital and automation subject matter experts to provide aligned,timelysupport without overloading plant resources.
  • Capture successful digital solutions and scale them through standardized playbooks, reusable architectures, and deployment patterns.
  • Maintain and communicate a 30/60/90-day rolling regional digitalization execution roadmap, highlighting priorities, dependencies, and risks.
  • Provide clear, decision-ready inputs and recommendations to regional leadership for escalation, prioritization, and resource alignment.
  • Partner closely with plant leadership, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, IT, and corporate digital teams to translate operational needs into compliant, scalable solutions.
  • Enable knowledge sharing and capability building across plants through best-practice exchanges, standards, and lessons learned.
  • Execute digitalization enablement activities within priorities and direction established through regional digitalization governance

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Controls, or similar discipline) required
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS Engineering, or similar) preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial digitalization roles
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with manufacturing systems (MES), dashboards, analytics, and data-driven decision support
  • Strong working knowledge of automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, sensors, vision systems, and edge devices
  • Proven understanding of OT/IT integration, industrial networking, cybersecurity, and IT governance in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to translate shop-floor problems into scalable, compliant digital solutions
  • Experience supporting multi-site or regional manufacturing organizations strongly preferred
