Job description

We are seeking an experienced Application Systems Engineer with substantial hands-on experience supporting IBM TRIRIGA and the IBM Maximo Real Estate & Facilities (MREF) module. This role provides essential sustainment, system configuration, data validation, workflow support, and end-user assistance for TRIRIGA and MREF environments during the migration of NASA's MSFC and HQ TRIRIGA instances to the Office of Strategic Infrastructure's (OSI) MREF module within Maximo Application Suite (MAS). The engineer will ensure operational continuity, system performance stability, and consistent user support during dual-environment operations and after full MREF deployment.

Minimum LCAT Requirements - * Clearance: Will need to get NASA Public Trust * Education: Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Facility/Asset Management, or a related field. * Years of Experience: 8+ Required Technology Skills: * Demonstrated experience leading TRIRIGA to MAS/MREF migrations, including dual environment sustainment, cutover planning, and rollback strategy development. * Strong expertise in enterprise application architecture, cybersecurity alignment, integration frameworks, and system performance considerations.

* Experience ensuring data integrity, accuracy, reporting quality, and compliance requirements across large scale system migrations. * Proficiency with SQL, enterprise reporting tools, data validation methods, and backup/restore practices. Preferred: * Familiarity with NASA specific facilities operations (CoF, FCA workflows).

* Experience with IBM MAS containerized deployments (Kubernetes/OpenShift). * Experience with SQL, reporting tools (Cognos, BIRT, Power BI), or ETL processes. * Experience supporting large-scale federal facilities, asset management, or real estate management programs.

* Knowledge of federal cybersecurity, compliance, and IT governance standards (e.g., NIST/FISMA). Responsibilities: * Will be migrating environment to IBM Maximo Real Estate & Facilities (MREF) module. * Provide full sustainment, configuration management, issue resolution, and operational support for existing MSFC and HQ TRIRIGA environments through migration completion, production cutover, and acceptance of MREF in the OSI MAS environment.

* Support parallel operations between MSFC TRIRIGA and OSI MAS as required during migration and transition phases. * Maintain stable system performance and service levels without disruption during the migration lifecycle. * Monitor system performance and escalate infrastructure or integration issues that arise during dual environment operations.

* Validate the accuracy and completeness of standard and custom reports following migration activities. * Provide daily application administration for MREF operational requirements, including Construction of Facilities (CoF), Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) data, and other OSI mission needs. * Perform system configuration, workflow updates, role based access management, and implementation of approved enhancements.

* Deliver ongoing system sustainment, issue resolution, configuration management, and O&M support across TRIRIGA and MAS environments. * Execute migration related configuration activities under architectural direction, including data validation and system alignment tasks. * Support tracking of software license utilization and assist with documenting updates, renewals, and procurement needs.

* Test system changes and support patching, upgrades, and new feature deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments. * Maintain and update reporting capabilities to meet evolving operational, analytical, and compliance requirements. * Develop and update training materials; conduct user training sessions when system updates require engagement.

* Document system configurations, operating procedures, workflows, work instructions, and technical processes for continuity and audit readiness. * Provide technical assistance to end users regarding application functionality, workflows, and data interactions. * Support troubleshooting involving application/server interactions, database functions, and integration layer operations.
