As our new Application Engineer, you will be providing expert technical support and tailored engineering solutions to customers while strengthening our team's capabilities across product sizing, system integration, and application engineering.

You will follow a hybrid work model based in our office in Brookshire, TX.
What you will be doing
You'll create impact by delivering advanced technical solutions that ensure optimal pump system performance and elevate the customer experience across diverse applications.
Your main responsibilities include:
  • Provide second-level technical support including detailed product sizing, application engineering, system integration, and accessory selection for complex customer inquiries.
  • Support sales teams by managing technical aspects of tenders and mid-scale projects, delivering accurate specifications and engineering calculations.
  • Handle escalated inquiries and quotations across multiple channels including phone, email, live chat, and instant messaging.
  • Identify business opportunities and hand over leads to external sales while implementing value-added services to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions for heat exchanger and accessories quotations, supporting other team members.

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a technically skilled problem solver with strong customer engagement instincts, solid pump and pumping systems knowledge, and the ability to juggle multiple complex challenges while building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. We would also imagine that you have:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Fundamental product and application knowledge of pumps, control panels, motors, variable speed drives, and pump accessories.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (CRM/SD) and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

It is a plus if you also have:
  • Application engineering experience in the pump industry.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support environment.
  • Proven ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively deliver solutions.

The salary range for this position is $73,100 - 112,100. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate's profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos's total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Brookshire, TX.
