Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring an Application Engineer. The Application Engineer supports installation and service teams with software integration, ensuring seamless operation between multiple software applications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, programming, system commissioning, upgrades, and advanced diagnostics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Integrate electronic security systems to deliver cohesive, advanced solutions
  • Configure LAN and wireless networks to ensure reliable connectivity and performance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues for optimal functionality
  • Collaborate with project teams and end users to support software deployment and usage
  • Resolve software-related issues, engaging technical resources when necessary
  • Escalate critical problems promptly to minimize project impact
  • Coordinate project timelines and resources with the management team for efficiency
  • Lead end-user training and manage licensing to ensure successful adoption and continuous development

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification(s) with access control systems and video platforms, such as AMAG, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Software House, or similar
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience programming and troubleshooting access control and video systems
  • Advanced knowledge of industry-leading security system and equipment providers
  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to read and understand advanced technical information and documentation
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Word)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • College degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
