Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an Application Engineer-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an Application Engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: Writing readable, well-structured code in Java utilizing engineering best practices; Debugging or Troubleshooting system issues via root cause analysis; System integration design or Data integration, including Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes; Application Program Interface (API) or Web service development in Java; and Technical documentation or Technical specification writing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop clear, modular, and self-sustaining code for custom front-end and back-end services with minimal assistance.
  • Design, build, and deploy internal business applications to support the company's technology lifecycle, collaboration, and data intelligence.
  • Translate business requirements and user needs into high-level technical specifications by collaborating with analysts and process owners.
  • Evaluate and recommend vendor-supplied applications and integrate third-party products into existing internal systems.
  • Oversee the testing of new and customized application modules to ensure they meet all technical specifications and are error-free. Identify and implement processes and solutions to ensure and monitor controls compliance across internal systems
