Mechanical Application Engineer

The Mechanical Application Engineer focuses on engineering, designing, and manufacturing equipment for various markets, including water treatment systems. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical experience, exceptional problem-solving skills, and effective customer communication abilities. The Applications Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Review project documents and develop preliminary engineering concepts, equipment selections, and technical solutions.
  • Prepare pricing, quotations, and proposals while coordinating with vendors on component selection and cost estimates.
  • Serve as a primary customer-facing technical resource, responding to inquiries and providing application support.
  • Build strong client relationships and support the development of customized solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise during customer meetings, presentations, and project discussions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and smooth transition to project management.
  • Maintain project documentation, technical reports, and customer records.
  • Ensure designs meet performance requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges to support project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and best practices while continuously expanding technical knowledge.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the equipment manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and design tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This role operates within an office environment, Monday through Friday, with limited travel averaging 10% per year for learning opportunities.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
