Job Description:

We are looking for an Application Engineer (AE) with a solid background in electronics engineering, SW development and hands-on experience in ATE testing. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), specifically utilizing Advantest's V93000 hardware and SmarTest 8 software. This role will be critical in developing, implementing, and optimizing test solutions for next-generation high performance devices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiate and develop new test methodologies and solutions for customers' devices on V93K.
  • Convert and debug test program and support hardware interface design for customer's device on V93K
  • Optimize test program to reduce test time and increase fault coverage.
  • Solve engineering and production problems for customers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from application development team, division, field personnel for project implementation
  • Communicate with customers to ensure services delivered meet their requirements.
  • Document all projects and intellectual
  • Expect a minimum of 20% travel to various customer and Advantest sites (sometimes in short notice)

Requirements:

  • Master or bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in IC test development or application development.
  • V93K SMT8 experience
  • Proven java programming skills
  • Demonstrated experience with bench instruments
  • HW design knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong personal leadership & good team player
  • Proactive, self-disciplined and highly motivated

Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):

  • Understanding VLSI and semiconductor manufacturing process
  • Strong scripting skills in perl or python
  • C/C++ experience is a plus
