Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer - Level 1/2 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA.
*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding and obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.
As a Cyber Software Engineer, you will be supporting day-to-day integration activities, cyber assessments and coordination between the hardware and software groups. You will support cyber security analysis, and design, develop, build, test, implement, and maintain various systems to meet project cyber requirements. You will have a passion for developing and automating creative solutions in classified environments. We cover a wide variety of technologies including Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), fully virtualized environments (VMware), cyber hardening, Red Hat Linux and network attached storage solutions.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Cyber Software Engineer - Level 1: 0 Years with Bachelors in Science
  • Cyber Software Engineer - Level 2: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI and CI Poly prior to start
  • Knowledge of cyber products for systems to include software vulnerability scanning and mitigations, intrusion detection mechanisms and related processes
  • Proficiency with hardening leveraging coding from various automation tools
  • Active Security+ certification

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active SCI/CI Poly
  • DISA STIGs as they apply to SW applications and Operating Systems
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
  • Coding experience (C++, JAVA, etc)
  • Experience working for a space ground program
  • Experience with Network Engineering

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,800.00 - $125,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,000.00 - $151,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
