Nikkiso ACD is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as - 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA. 

Job Overview

The Sales Engineer is responsible for technical and commercial quotations of our pump products for our markets local and abroad. The Sales Engineer will work closely with international sales team and as well as all departments within Nikkiso.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare technical selection and scope of supply in line with customer's technical requirements. 
  • Review project specifications and prepare deviations list, as well as attend and / or respond to technical clarifications requests from the customer. 
  • Research and develop costing of the products for the commercial offering.
  • Prepare quotation (price and delivery) based on the performed technical selections and technical clarifications. 
  • Work with other departments and suppliers to address any quotation specific requirements. 
  • Assist with AE tools development and processes for improvements. 
  • Light amount Domestic and foreign travel to meet with customers. 
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering is required.  Other engineering disciplines will be entertained only if they can demonstrate a strong  background/experience with rotating equipment or engines. 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience is required 
  • Specific industry experience is strongly preferred 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed and well-organized.
  • Skilled in time management, prioritizing and managing changing priorities in fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in rotating equipment / centrifugal pumps.
  • Experience in complex proposal preparation with the ability to review and analyze customer specifications both from a technical and commercial perspective.
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Experience w/ ERP and CRM systems preferred.

Work Environment 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
