Chipton-Ross is seeking a Web Application Developer for a contact opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • BS in computer engineering/science or equivalent
  • 5 plus years of software development experiences using Java/Spring Boot and Python
  • Workflow automation experiences using workflow engine like Camunda
  • Hands on experiences deploying software using DevOps pipeline
  • Experience implementing automated end-to-end tests, API tests
  • Experiences working in an Agile software development environment;
  • Experiences with Jira, Git, AI-enabled IDE like Claude Code
  • Experiences/familiarity with building AI-enabled applications using RAG, MCP, Agents, LLMs
  • You love challenging yourself to constantly improve and sharing your knowledge to empower others.
  • You view processes as a means and not an end, preferring lean or automated approaches to ensure quality and productivity.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Researches, designs, develops, tests, analyzes and repairs applications software for use in operating/controlling computer hardware. Work involves:
  • Writing new programs and enhancing and modifying existing programs for compilers and assemblers, device drivers, utility programs and operating systems.
  • Determines computer user needs. Prepares operating instructions and project documentation.
  • Devises, develops, implements and manages project plans, budgets and schedules.
  • Applies knowledge of software application concepts, programming languages, techniques and controls, output requirements and input data acquisition.
  • Designing, implementing, testing web-based workflow automation solutions, and services (APIs) running on AWS and Azure including new features and enhancements.
  • Participating in and collaborating with Product owner, team leads, and other developers to constructing feature requirements and specifications.
  • Produce prototype features quickly and participate in gathering feedback from users.
  • Bring innovation to the team in new features, improving build processes and product development lifecycle using AI-enabled tools like Claude Code.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to increase code efficiency, maintainability and robustness.
  • Support and debug production level issues and provide fixes in an expedient manner.
  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices in software development.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
BS in computer engineering/science or equivalent.
Degree must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
Full time. 8am-4pm
Remote on Fridays
