What is an applicant tracking system (ATS)?

An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a software application used by organizations to manage their recruitment and hiring processes. It helps automate tasks such as posting job openings, collecting and organizing resumes, tracking applicants through different stages, and communicating with candidates. ATS platforms are designed to streamline the hiring workflow, improve organization, and ensure compliance with hiring regulations. Many systems also include features like resume parsing, interview scheduling, and analytics to help employers make informed decisions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an applicant tracking system (ATS) specialist?

To thrive as an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Specialist, you need expertise in recruitment processes, HR best practices, and a solid understanding of data management, typically supported by experience in talent acquisition or human resources. Familiarity with leading ATS platforms (such as Workday, iCIMS, or Greenhouse), HRIS systems, and relevant certifications like SHRM or PHR is important. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication help specialists optimize workflows and collaborate with hiring teams. These abilities ensure efficient talent acquisition, regulatory compliance, and a smooth candidate experience.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) in a recruitment team?

Professionals who manage or work with Applicant Tracking Systems often encounter challenges such as ensuring data accuracy, integrating the ATS with other HR software, and maintaining a user-friendly experience for both recruiters and candidates. Collaboration with IT and HR teams is crucial for troubleshooting issues and customizing the system to meet the organization's specific recruitment needs.

Company Overview

Over the next ten years, there will be at least 4.6 million hospitalizations from the misuse of prescription drugs in people 65 or older, resulting in $528 billion in annual avoidable costs. RxAnte is on a mission to improve people’s health by helping them get more from medicines. A rapidly growing, tech-enabled healthcare services company with over 30 million lives under management, RxAnte has become a leading provider of value-based pharmacy care management solutions for health plans.

RxAnte launched Mosaic Pharmacy Service in 2019, a wholly owned subsidiary designed to offer pharmacy and chronic care management services for our clients’ most medically complex and vulnerable members. Using data, advanced analytics, specialized software, and pharmacy automation, Mosaic is transforming the pharmacy experience for medically complex seniors while also helping payers achieve their quality improvement and cost savings objectives.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you will keep Mosaic Pharmacy Service staffed for growth, owning sourcing and screening for our highest-volume roles: Patient Contact Center Representatives, Patient Enrollment Representatives, and Pharmacy Technicians. You will move fast and keep pipelines full so the pharmacy can serve more patients.

Every hire you make puts another skilled, caring person in front of the medically complex seniors Mosaic serves, so your work shapes how well and how quickly those patients get the medications and support they depend on.

What You’ll Do

  • Source candidates through job boards, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, and other channels.
  • Write and post job advertisements, and screen resumes and applications against role requirements.
  • Contact candidates to assess fit, then schedule and coordinate interviews.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for Mosaic’s highest-volume roles, including Patient Contact Center Representatives, Patient Enrollment Representatives, and Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Guide hiring managers and interviewers through the company’s behavior-based structured selection process, keeping interviews consistent and evidence-based.
  • Keep the applicant tracking system accurate and current, with timely candidate communication at every stage.
  • Extend offers and support compensation conversations within approved ranges.
  • Initiate onboarding plans and support a smooth handoff for each new hire.
  • Deliver a professional, responsive candidate experience throughout the process.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 1 or more years of recruiting, high-volume talent coordination, or comparable talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience sourcing and screening candidates across multiple channels.
  • Strong organization and follow-through while managing many open roles at once.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • Comfort using an applicant tracking system and standard recruiting tools.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting high-volume healthcare, pharmacy, contact center, or hourly roles.
  • Experience with Paylocity or a comparable applicant tracking system.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience from sourcing through onboarding.

Conditions of Employment

All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $68,000. This role is also eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus. Actual compensation within the range is determined by factors including experience, skills, and internal equity.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with prescription benefits, with Company paying 100% of the employee-only premium
  • A Health Savings Account with company contributions
  • A 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match
  • Company-paid life, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, with voluntary short-term disability available
  • An Employee Assistance Program and a benefits Customer Advocate service
  • Paid time off and paid company holidays
  • Company-provided equipment
  • Support for professional development and training
