Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for a Battery Characterization Automation Test Engineer responsible for setting up, maintaining, and monitoring the continuous operation of Apple test devices within laboratory environments. The position involves managing the entire test process, from hardware setup and script loading to data collection and quality validation, while ensuring adherence to strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, maintain, and monitor continuous operation of Apple test devices in labs.
  • Manage the test process, including setting up hardware, loading test scripts and settings on devices, initiating tests, collecting data upon completion, and validating data quality.
  • Maintain test scripts for various Apple devices.
  • Update test software through GitHub as necessary.
  • Update documentation as necessary.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient in Python for data processing and analysis tool development.
  • Proficient in C/C++ for test software development.
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix (Bash and Shell).
  • Proficient in revision control software such as GitHub.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Outstanding problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in the Cupertino office 3 days/week.

Preferred Skills:
