Description
Join our Wireless Systems Design Validation Team, where we ensure cutting-edge wireless and PHY systems meet rigorous performance standards across critical parameters, including Power Accuracy, Spurs, EVM, Sensitivity, Desense, RF/Baseband Performance, MIMO, and Coexistence. Operating at the heart of silicon development, we drive test automation and validation methodologies that accelerate product development while maintaining exceptional quality. This role offers the opportunity to create test infrastructure and automation solutions that directly impact the success of next-generation wireless technologies.","responsibilities":"You will develop sophisticated automation frameworks and test infrastructure for validating wireless and PHY systems across RF and baseband domains, enabling comprehensive validation and regression testing throughout the silicon development lifecycle.
Working closely with PHY, MAC, and RF design engineers, you'll translate specifications into automated test strategies, identify validation gaps, and drive resolution of complex system issues.
Your role includes creating equipment drivers, control interfaces, and intelligent test sequences, while analyzing results to provide actionable insights and continuously improving test methodologies to meet the demanding requirements of next-generation wireless systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
Deep understanding of key performance indicators and impairments in RF and baseband domains.
Hands-on experience testing wireless silicon in laboratory environments.
Proficiency with RF test equipment including signal analyzers, signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
Proven experience developing test automation, including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, and interfaces.
Experience with automation infrastructure development (traceability, repeatability) and related tools (Git, CI/CD, databases, reporting tools).
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree
Knowledge of wireless communication systems.
Programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, C++, or C#.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,700 and $214,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
