Threads is a client-centric producer of uniforms and has outfitted over one million members of our nation's workforce.

We are seeking a motivated, organized, strategic team lead to join our Operations Team as a Receiving and Inventory Specialist. This role will be focused on receiving incoming shipments and maintaining a perpetual inventory of material and stock items so inventory can be easily accessed and shipped out to our customers.

Overview

The Receiving and Inventory Specialist position is responsible for processing receipt of inbound shipments by recording that data through various systems at different points in the workflow processes. They also share in working with and across many departments in the organization, as well as external partners/vendors, while ensuring a positive first and last impression. This position is a part of the Operations team and reports to the Supply Chain Lead.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates receipt of inbound inventory delivered daily by FedEx, UPS, LTL, etc.
  • Performs data entry of material transactions for PO receipts directly into the ERP system
  • Conducts daily inventory movement to Embroidery Department as product is received
  • Executes material transactions using a WMS bar code scanning device when applicable
  • Conveys domestic items received for stock to the proper staging location for processing
  • Coordinates stock movement and ensures transactions are accurately recorded in ERP/WMS system
  • Identifies and shares opportunities for continuous improvements to increase efficiencies in stock movement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities preferred

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3(+) years of experience in an order fulfilment warehouse environment
  • Forklift certification preferred; company willing to certify the right candidate
  • Comfortability with working in Microsoft Office (Emails, Teams, Word)
  • Team-oriented as well as ability to work independently
  • Fosters interest for change with shared ideas/updates on department or team SOP's and best practices
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments as appropriate
  • Works with a sense of urgency producing a high-level of accuracy;
  • ERP Inventory Control software experience (Infor, Sage/Accpac or comparable system);
  • Bin Tracking software experience (Orchid or comparable WMS system);
  • RF device transaction experience (AccuDart or comparable bar code scanning system);
  • Basic knowledge of apparel industry and decoration processes, including any done in-house.
