Apartment Groundskeeper

The Apartment Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of an apartment community. This position plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, prospects, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of the apartment community, grounds, and common areas.
  • Pick up trash and debris throughout the property.
  • Empty outdoor trash cans and pet waste stations.
  • Keep parking lots, sidewalks, breezeways, stairwells, and entryways clean.
  • Clean around dumpsters and trash compactor areas.
  • Sweep, blow, and pressure wash designated areas as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining pools, patios, recreational areas, and other community amenities.
  • Help prepare vacant apartment homes by removing trash and assisting with basic cleaning when requested.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, property damage, or suspicious activity to management.
  • Assist the maintenance team with basic tasks as directed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Follow all property safety procedures and management instructions.
  • Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, prospects, vendors, and property staff.

Qualifications

  • Dependable and able to report to work on time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
