Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Systems Design
Miami, FL | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer / Designer will play a vital role in supporting high-profile projects through innovative power and lighting system designs. This position is based full-time at the Miami office and works closely with senior leadership and project teams to develop solutions that align with technical codes, project schedules, and client needs.


Responsibilities
  • Execute electrical design tasks for assigned projects, including layout planning, circuiting, load calculations, and system documentation

  • Independently review design work to ensure it reflects sound engineering judgment and industry best practices

  • Prepare technical calculations, design documents, and materials/equipment specifications to support system implementation

  • Contribute to construction drawing sets and remain involved throughout the design and documentation lifecycle

  • Coordinate closely with project managers, mechanical and architectural teams to align design work with broader project goals

  • Interpret and apply relevant state and national codes and standards throughout design phases

  • Manage design inputs and constraints to arrive at practical, code-compliant electrical system solutions

  • Balance multiple project assignments while maintaining quality standards and meeting agreed-upon deadlines

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution. 

Work Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing electrical systems in a professional engineering or consulting environment

Licenses & Certifications

  • EIT required; PE license preferred

  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification is a plus

Software Proficiency

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360

  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
