Job description

Electrical Project Engineer (PE)
📍 Location: Spokane, WA, US
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 + Bonus
Our client, a growing multidisciplinary MEP consulting engineering firm, is seeking a licensed Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) to lead building systems design, project management, and client coordination across commercial, healthcare, municipal, industrial, educational, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design from concept through construction.

  • Design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, low-voltage, and site electrical systems.

  • Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, short circuit, and voltage drop studies.

  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, energy codes, and industry standards.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships.

  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior engineers and support quality control reviews.

  • Assist with proposals, business development, and client growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in building systems design.

  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC, IBC, and applicable codes.

Preferred

  • 10+ years of consulting engineering experience.

  • Experience with healthcare, municipal, industrial, educational, or aviation projects.

  • NCEES Record, LEED AP, or CEM certification.
