Job description

Position Title: AP Coordinator (Part-Time, Stipend Position)
Program: Virtual Virginia (VVA) K12 Online Program
Compensation: $20,000 Annual Stipend
Status: Part-Time (Internal and External Applicants)


Position Overview:

This stipend supports a professional who oversees the operational, administrative, and instructional management of Virtual Virginia's Advanced Placement (AP) program. Responsibilities include coordinating AP course offerings, facilitating College Board processes, and serving as the primary liaison between VVA, the College Board, participating school divisions, and AP instructors. The recipient is responsible for ensuring curriculum alignment with current AP Course and Exam Descriptions (CEDs), monitoring student participation and performance analytics, and managing AP exam ordering and accommodation logistics across partner divisions. Additionally, the recipient will deliver targeted professional learning and ongoing support to VVA AP faculty, collaborate with content developers on AP-specific course enhancements, and troubleshoot academic support needs to drive student achievement in high-rigor coursework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience serving as an AP Coordinator in a school division or program
  • Virginia license in Administration and Supervision
  • Familiarity with AP Classroom and College Board platforms
  • Demonstrated experience working with program data to support instruction

Compensation: Compensation is paid in equal installments as a monthly stipend, September 2026June 2027.
