Position Summary: The AOI Test Operator/Programmer is responsible for writing AOI programs, and fine tuning and testing/debugging boards.

Job Functions

  • Write AOI programs using VITROX software and perform AOI testing.
  • Promptly complete testing tasks and document in a timely manner.
  • Set-up and operate the testing machine/Vitrox V510 to perform electrical testing on PCB to ensure that there are no defects (shorts, opens, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Write program/fine tune and debug before release to production.
  • Inform Managers of any potential problems.
  • Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in writing AOI Test Programs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all times.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software (ProCim).
  • Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.


Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.

Environment: Primarily works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to deduction equipment. PCBA Manufacturing. Climate-controlled manufacturing area with exposure to laser equipment and fine particulates. Must use PPE, including safety glasses and gloves as required. Regular standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.


California Hourly Pay Range: $22-$27/ Hour
