Description
Cadogan Tate New York Limited has an exciting position available for a professional Delivery Driver. The essential duties of this role are to work on all aspects of  collections, deliveries and installations of personal effects, art and antiques under the management of immediate supervisor. We are looking for skilled delivery drivers, familiar with driving medium sized vans, art handling experience is a bonus.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
  • Two years of experience in delivering delicate goods and small packages; unloading, loading, packing, handling art, furniture and antiquities on a local and interstate basis (e.g. Delivery Driver, Mover / Driver) 
  • A knowledge of proper handling of art, antiquities and high-end furniture using the appropriate materials and methods for packaging, loading and securing for safe transport
  • Familiarity with paperwork; Bills of Lading, Condition Reports, Inventory, Drivers Logs, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 70lbs
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment
  • Experience driving a sprinter van or similar size vans 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
This a full-time position, working Monday through Friday and some weekends. The company provides competitive hourly pay and excellent benefits. The salary depends on applicant's driving and moving experience. The candidate must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S and proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

Key Responsibilities
·         Collections and deliveries on a daily basis, locally and interstate as needed
·         Handle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including            all condition reporting for goods
·         Ensure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as                required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based              on the daily trip sheet or trip manifest
·         Ensure all modifications to daily trip manifest are reported and verified by the              Dispatch Manager prior to making any modifications
·         Proper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine                furniture
·         Assist with installation projects
·         Preparation of condition checks and condition reports as needed
·         Pack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storage
·         Assist in the loading and unloading of Cadogan Tate trucks
·         Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job
·         On occasion you may be required to start your day or end your day at a                      location other than Cadogan Tate New York Limited, in these instances you are            required to complete a manual time sheet and to have this signed by the                        supervisor or your manager within 24 hours of the start or end of the day.
 
General
·         Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, and all other Company            policies and procedures in place

·         To act at all times in the best interests of Cadogan Tate, its customers and its                employees

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
 
·         High school diploma / GED required
·         Two years of experience in moving and art handling industry; packing,                          handling  and installing art, furniture and antiquities on a local and interstate              basis (*Training will be provided) 
·         Two years of logistical, warehousing and moving experience is a plus
·         Understanding of inventory processes and the ability to learn how to improve                on handling furniture, art and antiquities from collection through to                                installation 
·         Excellent problem-solving skills
·         Familiarity with OSHA regulations
·         Excellent organizational and time management skills
·         Impeccable communication and multitasking skills
·         Ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting
·         Team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment
·         Comfortable in a results-driven workplace
·         Professional demeanor at all times
·         Experience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other                  necessary logistics equipment
·         Ability to safely lift 70 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and                  weight on a daily basis without damage to object or person, including the                      ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart
·         Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead
