Job Summary

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling moving crews, trucks, and equipment to ensure efficient and timely service for customers. This role acts as the central point of communication between customers, movers, and management, ensuring smooth daily operations and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and assign moving crews, drivers, and vehicles for local and long-distance moves
  • Coordinate daily routes and adjust schedules as needed due to delays, traffic, or customer changes
  • Communicate job details, addresses, and special requirements to moving teams
  • Monitor job progress and provide real-time updates to customers and management
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and customer inquiries regarding scheduling and service status
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of jobs, crew assignments, and delivery times
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to confirm bookings and service details
  • Assist with billing, job documentation, and closing out completed moves
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or moving industry preferred
