Senior Mechanical Engineer – Mud PumpsBizTech Fusion is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Mud Pumps for one of our clients. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in Mud Pump design and development and mechanical equipment for the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machine design, engineering calculations, CAD, FEA, hydraulic systems, and industry standards.

Position Details
  • Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer – Mud Pumps
  • Location: Spring, Texas
  • Work Arrangement: Onsite
  • Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension based on performance
  • Visa Requirement: Open to candidates with valid work authorization in the U.S. All visa types are considered except CPT.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on machine design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the development of machines and mechanical systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and development of Mud Pumps and related equipment.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.
  • Strong understanding of engineering calculations, stress analysis, and tolerance stack-up.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, welding, or related practical applications is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in an ISO or API Q1 certified manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and specifications such as API 6A, API 7K, API 8C, ISO, and API.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and their design/implementation is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering expertise and technical support for mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative mechanical design solutions while considering safety, efficiency, manufacturability, and industry standards.
  • Design and develop Mud Pumps and related mechanical equipment.
  • Perform stress and engineering analysis on mechanical components and systems to ensure structural integrity and durability.
  • Create detailed design layouts, drawings, and engineering documentation in accordance with established standards and best practices.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-up studies and review design documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Research, evaluate, and specify purchased components based on technical requirements, compatibility, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute test plans for mechanical components and systems to validate performance and functionality.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports documenting designs, analyses, testing, and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during equipment conceptualization, development, testing, and specification.
  • Stay current with emerging mechanical engineering technologies, hardware, software, and industry practices.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
