Description
Alaska Northstar Resources is hiring! We are seeking a DevSecOps/Cybersecurity Engineer to take on a hybrid remote role, and the selected candidate shall be within commuting/driving distance of an installation that allows routine SIPR access and be available to perform SIPR activities as required.
The DevSecOps/Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Support secure SDLC execution aligned to RMF and applicable standards
  • Coordinate cybersecurity scan findings and support mitigation/closure actions as directed by the Prime and Government security team
  • Support security documentation/artifacts required for assessment & authorization and continuous compliance activities
  • Map security controls to stories/bugs as needed
  • Support CI/CD integration/analysis activities aligned to Government toolchain expectations.

Requirements
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Candidate must possess an active DOD Secret clearance (or higher)
  • Candidate must be in compliance with DoD 8140.01 and maintaining approved certification(s) to satisfy 8140/8570 requirements
  • Candidate must reside within commuting/driving distance of an installation that allows routine SIPR access and be available to perform SIPR activities as required
  • Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience using Government-approved CI/CD and code quality/security tools and repositories (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket/Jenkins, and code quality/security scan tools such as Checkmarx/ACAS/CAST/SBOM)
  • AWS Cloud One experience is required
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft products to include Office and Teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional Organizational and Time Management skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential (100%). Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
