The Opportunity

We're looking to hire an Annuity Sales Desk Representative to join our Mass Mutual Ascend Internal Sales Desk. In this position, you'll convey various annuity product ideas and concepts while successfully answering incoming advisor questions. As and Annuity Sales Desk Representative, you will have a strong desire to learn, practice and apply your exceptional customer service skills through partnering with talented team of experienced sales professionals. The Team

The Internal Sales Desk at MassMutual Ascend works with distributors in the third-party/independent/Financial Institution/Broker General Agent space to sell our Fixed, Fixed Indexed, Fee-Based and Registered Indexed Link annuity products through financial advisors and independent agents. The team is agile, collaborative and inclusive as they support our diverse distribution partners and advisors. We partner with advisors to deliver exceptional financial solutions to their clients. We provide unparalleled expertise, guidance, advice, and solutions to MassMutual Ascend field distribution, their advisors and broker partners, in planning for their clients' financial future. We empower our advisors to grow and diversify their practices by collaborating with credentialed and experienced experts that address broad financial solutions.

The Impact:

  • Answer incoming Sales Desk calls in a timely accurate manner providing professional sales oriented detailed information to caller (product information, illustrations, forms and marketing materials) for producers and back-office support personnel while offering sales designs/concepts and product positioning.
  • Proactively partner with Marketing Representatives and other business partners to develop/grow individual annuity sales and achieve assigned goals.
  • Proficient with and effectively utilize illustration tools, Salesforce and other identified systems/tools.
  • Act as a liaison on behalf of Sales for the advisor and other sales entities that do business with us informing them of ongoing products and communications.
  • Work as a contributing team member to assist in achieving the sales goals of Sales and Distribution and provide backup to the other members of the team when needed.
  • Work with supporting/processing areas/operations to address any issues that would impact the ability of a submitted case to be "reported" in a timely manner, respectful of procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma and 2+ years of equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of customer service or sales experience
  • Must obtain Series 6 within 6 months hire
  • Must obtain Life & Health License within 6 months hire
