Job description

Job Title: Infant Teacher

Location: Annie’s Child Care (Faucett, MO)

Position Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time]

Position Overview

Annie’s Child Care is seeking a compassionate, attentive, and reliable Infant Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care, safety, and early developmental growth of infants ages 0 to 24 months. You will work alongside an experienced Senior Infant Teacher on-site who will provide complete training and mentorship to ensure you are supported every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care and create a safe, engaging environment for infants ages 0 to 24 months.

  • Maintain accurate daily records and logs, including tracking diaper changes, bottle feedings, spoon-feeding, and nap schedules.

  • Support early childhood development by guiding infants through age-appropriate milestones, sensory play, and teaching self-feeding skills when appropriate.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant classroom environment.

  • Communicate warmly and effectively with families regarding their child's daily routines and progress.

Qualifications & State Compliance Requirements

To comply with Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations, candidates must meet or complete the following:

  • Background Check: Must pass a Missouri State Background Check and Missouri State Fingerprinting.

  • Health Clearances: Must complete a TB test and a physical Medical Evaluation (kept on file on-site for state compliance).

  • Professional Development: Complete 12 clock hours of annual training through DESE and Missouri state requirements.

  • Certifications: Pediatric CPR & First Aid preferred (can be obtained through the center if not currently certified).

  • Experience: Strong communication, patience, and a dedication to early childhood education. Complete hands-on training will be provided by a Senior Infant Teacher on-site.
