General Position Information

Reports To: General Manager – Latin America

Contract Type: Full-time

Work Mode & Travel: Remote, with frequent travel required (up to 50%)

Geographic Coverage: All of Latin America; initial commercial focus on Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Brazil.

Position Purpose

The Technical Sales Representative for Swine Products & Nutrition is responsible for driving commercial growth across the assigned Latin American markets through the promotion, sale, and technical support of swine nutritional products, animal health products, and management solutions for pig production. While the role carries requirements across all of Latin America, the initial commercial focus is on Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Brazil, with progressive expansion into the remaining markets of the region. Acting as the bridge between the technical team and customers, this role delivers differentiated value by leveraging deep knowledge of the regional swine production value chain.

Key Responsibilities & Functions

Commercial

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customers across the assigned markets.
  • Manage and follow up the active customer portfolio, ensuring volume, margin, and customer-satisfaction targets are met.
  • Prepare and present quotes and technical commercial proposals and negotiate commercial terms with customers in coordination with the regional management.
  • Meet and exceed the sales budgets established by country and region.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, congresses, and industry events across the region.

Technical

  • Actively participate in technical discussions with the nutrition team, contributing field observations and customer insights to enrich swine feeding recommendations across production stages
  • Collaborate with the internal technical team in analyzing customer production situations, bringing a commercial and field perspective.
  • Conduct farm visits for data collection and performance follow-up.
  • Participate in the design and execution of field trials in close coordination with the technical team, contributing market, and customer knowledge.
  • Train customer teams and distributors on products and their technical applications.
  • Gather and report market intelligence on trends, competitor pricing, customer needs, and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop technical materials, success stories, and market-penetration strategies.
  • Participate in annual commercial planning by country and contribute to the regional budget.
  • Results-oriented, with a strong focus on meeting commercial targets.
  • Negotiation skills and persuasive communication.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple countries simultaneously.
  • Analytical thinking: interpretation of production and financial data.

Qualifications

Education

  • University degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, Swine Nutrition, or a related field; postgraduate specialization in swine nutrition or animal production is preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience in technical sales or technical advisory roles within animal nutrition or swine production.
  • Proven experience in Latin American markets (at least two target countries preferred) and managing key accounts, distributors, or corporate clients.
  • Strong knowledge of swine nutrition and animal health products, including diet formulation, feed additives, functional ingredients, and performance solutions.
  • Familiarity with regional swine production systems and the sanitary/regulatory frameworks governing animal feed and health products.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, CRM, and video-conferencing platforms.

Additional Requirements

  • Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) required; Portuguese highly preferred.
  • Available for frequent domestic and international travel (up to 50%), with a valid driver's license and passport.
  • Residency in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, or Brazil.
