Anesthesiologist – Cardiothoracic* Located in Phoenix, Arizona | Full-Time | Academic Hospital Setting*Position Highlights* Join the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anesthesiology Division * Appointment to the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science* Manage comprehensive anesthetic care for coronary bypass surgery, cardiac valve surgery, aortic surgery, heart transplantation, complex thoracic and foregut surgery, robotic surgery, and a re-established lung transplant program* Ideal candidates have experience in lung and heart transplant anesthesia* Participate in resident education, clinical research, and program development* Work in a collaborative environment with >50 anesthesiology consultants, 16 residents (7/year), >70 CRNAs, and a dedicated anesthesiology technologist teamPractice Environment* Full-spectrum anesthetic care for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures (excluding trauma, obstetrics, and pediatrics)* Pre- and post-operative patient care included* Academic and clinical support for research and teachingQualifications* MD or DO with board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology* Completion of Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship* Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Arizona* Experience with lung and heart transplant anesthesia strongly preferredWhy this group* World-class academic medical center recognized for clinical excellence and innovation* Opportunities for professional growth in clinical practice, education, and research* Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with integrated subspecialty support
