Expected pay for this position is $17.66 - $19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Anesthesia Support Specialist assists the anesthetist by performing various tasks, including the maintenance and monitoring of anesthesia equipment and machines, supply management, department cleaning, and preparation of the surgery room with equipment and supplies according to established procedures. Follows and understand the standards and recommended practices according to the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN). The Anesthesia Support Specialist assists in cleaning and preparing the surgery room and procedural room in addition to managing the care of the anesthesia equipment.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ GED.
Experience: 6 months work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure/Certifications: American Heart Association CPR/basic life support (BLS) Experience: 6 mos. operating room/surgery/procedural area Knowledge of medical terminology or coding rules Other requirements/information: Computer and phone experience
