Job description

About the Role
OfferUp is looking for a Product Management Intern to join our product team this summer. Whether you're embedded on our Consumer team, helping millions of buyers and sellers connect every day, or our Local Business team, building tools that help small businesses and dealerships thrive, or our Ads team, shaping how we connect buyers with relevant products and businesses across the platform - you'll work on real problems that have a real impact on our platform and the communities we serve.
This is a hybrid role based in our Bellevue, WA office. You'll spend 3 days a week in the office, working alongside our teams to ship meaningful work in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
  • Own real projects: You won't just be building slide decks in a corner. You'll drive a defined problem space from discovery through recommendation, with the support of your PM manager and colleagues.
  • Dig into the data: Use analytics tools to understand user behavior, identify opportunities, and measure the impact of your work.
  • Talk to users: Conduct research and synthesize insights that inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate across the team: Work closely with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguity into a clear plan.
  • Leverage AI: Use tools like Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT to move faster and think bigger.
  • Present your findings: Share your recommendations with the broader product team and leadership at the end of your internship.

Who You Are
  • A curious problem solver: You love digging into a messy situation and finding a simple, creative path forward.
  • A strong communicator: You can explain a complex idea clearly, in writing, in a doc, or in a room full of stakeholders.
  • Data-curious: You're comfortable working with data to answer questions and support your thinking, even if you're still building that muscle.
  • A self-starter: You don't wait to be told what to do next. You take initiative, ask good questions, and figure things out.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate (MBA or equivalent) program, returning to school after the internship.

Helpful, but not required
  • Prior internship or project experience in product management, strategy, consulting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with two-sided marketplaces, B2B/SMB products, or mobile apps.
  • Experience with A/B testing concepts or product analytics tools.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this internship is $33 - $40. Placement within this range is based on academic standing, relevant coursework or prior internship experience, and demonstrated skills applicable to the role.
This is a non-benefits-eligible internship. No additional compensation beyond hourly wages is offered.
