An ANCC Magnet nurse works at a hospital or healthcare organization that has achieved Magnet Recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The Magnet designation is awarded to organizations that meet rigorous standards for quality patient care, nursing excellence, and innovations in professional nursing practice. Magnet status is considered the gold standard for nursing and is intended to promote a positive work environment, higher job satisfaction, and better patient outcomes. Nurses working in Magnet hospitals are typically supported in their professional development and have opportunities to participate in decision-making processes.
