Job description

Title: Associate Business Analyst (with technical data skills)
Really need Power BI and SQL exp.
Onsite 2 days per week in Memphis.

  • This Analyst should be local and will work a hybrid schedule, two days per week in the office.
  • Will need some technical skills such as understanding and creating SQL queries, working with Power BI, and proficiency with Excel reporting
  • Will be analyzing data to help improve processes and identify new opportunities for improvement.
  • Will be communicating with multiple teams weekly so excellent communications & professionalism is very important.
  • Have some tasks that need to be automated but must be completed manually in the meantime.
Top Skills Required:
  • Power BI - maintaining dashboards
  • SQL - creating & maintaining queries
  • Gap analysis (space between the present state "where we are" and the target state "where we want to be". Gap analysis assesses the differences between the actual and expected performance in an organization. It can also be called a 'need analysis', 'need assessment', or 'need-gap analysis'.)
  • Basic project management
  • Strong Excel skills, i.e., reporting results, etc.
  • PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
Nice-to-have Skills:
  • Experience with automation tools is nice, but not required (ex: Microsoft Power Automate)
  • Freight LTL industry experience is nice, but not required.
Below are the day-to day responsibilities for this position:
Analyst Tasks: Will be working on updating reporting, building new reports, and automating functions through technology, i.e., Excel, bots, etc. (there are internal FedEx resources who have built some bots -- experience to interact with them isn't required for this role). Will also have day-to-day operational functions, such as reviewing documents for litigation, performing manual entries/transactions in revenue systems, account reviews, interactions with Sales, etc.
