Job description

Rockefeller Center Destination & Experiences brings together everything that makes Rockefeller Center an iconic and essential part of New York City. For more than 90 years, Rockefeller Center has been a place where the city's energy, creativity, and spirit come alive-offering world-famous attractions like Top of the Rock and The Rink, award-winning dining, legendary live entertainment, seasonal programming, and shopping for all ages. It's also home to some of the city's most sought-after event venues, from weddings at the Rainbow Room to rooftop gatherings overlooking Fifth Avenue.

As part of the team, you'll help shape unforgettable experiences at one of the most beloved destinations in the world-where locals and visitors come to connect, explore, and celebrate what makes New York, New York.

Position Summary

The Associate, Analytics & Insights will join the Rockefeller Center Destination & Experiences team, working closely with leaders for the portfolio of owned and operated businesses across Attractions, Hospitality/Restaurants, and Partnerships.

The Associate will support the team's business analytics and performance function, helping to analyze key drivers of growth, monitor performance, and support day-to-day decision-making. This is a business-facing role first, with responsibility for delivering accurate, timely insights and supporting executive-level updates and materials.

In parallel, the Associate will play a critical role in building a more scalable analytics capability-developing dashboards, working with data models, and leveraging AI-enabled tools to automate reporting and improve efficiency. This role requires both strong business judgment and hands-on technical capability.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analytics & Performance Support

  • Support analytics across operating businesses, including Attractions, Hospitality/Restaurants, and Partnerships.

  • Analyze key performance drivers including revenue, demand, pricing, conversion, and guest behavior.

  • Build and maintain weekly and monthly performance reporting.

  • Support performance reporting, forecasting, pacing analysis, and sales team incentive plans.

Executive Support & Structured Problem Solving

  • Prepare executive updates, summaries, and CEO-ready presentations.

  • Structure business problems and translate data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Support senior leaders with ad hoc analysis to support decision making.

Data & Dashboard Development

  • Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) used by operators and leadership.

  • Write and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and analysis.

  • Work with datasets across ticketing, CRM, POS, and financial systems.

  • Validate data outputs and support reconciliation with Finance and Accounting.

Automation & AI Enablement

  • Use Python, SQL, and/or automation tools to streamline reporting and analysis.

  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., LLMs, agent-based workflows, automation platforms) to reduce manual work and improve speed.

  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and build reusable workflows.

  • Support experimentation with new tools to improve productivity and insight generation.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with teams across Operations, Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance & Accounting.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives impacting multiple businesses.

  • Ensure alignment between operational metrics and financial reporting.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in strategy consulting, analytics, data science, or a related field.

  • Outstanding academic achievement from a top-tier university.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in SQL (must be able to write and troubleshoot queries independently).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).

  • Working knowledge of Python or other scripting/automation tools.

  • Comfort working with structured and unstructured data from multiple systems.

  • Proficiency with AI tools, automation, and keen interest in emerging technologies.

Analytical & Business Skills

  • Strong structured problem-solving and analytical thinking.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (ability to build executive-ready materials).

  • Ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • A former consultant or analyst who also enjoys building, not just analyzing.

  • Someone comfortable moving between data, tools, presentations, and business questions.

  • A self-starter who identifies inefficiencies and automates them.

  • A candidate interested in growing into a data, analytics, or business leadership role.
