Summary:

In this role, you will provide strategic planning, and analytics support to Vizient/Sg2 clients, serving as a consultative partner to help inform enterprise, service line, and network-level decisions. You will lead moderately complex analyses under limited supervision, synthesize insights into clear strategic recommendations, and support executive decision-making related to growth, access, and care delivery strategy. You will present findings to leadership, guide clients in evaluating strategic options, and contribute to best practices while supporting the development of junior team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to clients by supporting system-wide strategic planning initiatives, including service line growth planning, ambulatory network planning, facility planning, and enterprise system strategy.
  • Lead analyses and project workstreams that inform growth priorities, market positioning, access strategy, and capital planning decisions.
  • Conduct market assessments, competitive analyses, and demand evaluations to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear, actionable strategic insights and recommendations for executive audiences.
  • Develop project deliverables such as market share summaries, market scans, service line growth assessments, and ad hoc market intelligence.
  • Apply strategic frameworks and scenario analysis to evaluate alternative growth strategies and support client decision-making.
  • Leverage Vizient/Sg2 and external data platforms to inform strategy development and ensure analytic rigor.
  • Present findings and recommendations to client leadership, facilitating discussion and supporting selection of strategic options.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal teams and client stakeholders to manage expectations and drive effective collaboration.
  • Support project planning and execution by determining analytic approach, data requirements, and timelines with minimal oversight.
  • Contribute to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and best practice development across the team.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting healthcare strategic planning initiatives, including service line strategy, ambulatory network planning, facility planning, or enterprise system strategy required.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and market intelligence into strategic insights and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, database, and spreadsheet skills required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, required.
  • Experience developing and delivering client-facing presentations and facilitating strategic discussions.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work with limited supervision.
  • Broad knowledge of Vizient/Sg2 products, tools, and methodologies preferred.
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.
