Mobility Consultant/ ATP

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) to join our growing team. The ATP will evaluate patient needs, recommend and configure appropriate assistive technology and mobility solutions, and provide education and follow-up to ensure optimal outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and making a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives.
Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to assess functional needs and environmental considerations
  • Recommend appropriate assistive technology and mobility equipment (wheelchairs, seating, positioning, adaptive devices, etc.)
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and vendors to develop effective equipment solutions
  • Complete accurate documentation to support insurance requirements, including Medicare/Medicaid and private payers
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper equipment use, safety, and maintenance
  • Provide follow-up support and make equipment adjustments as needed
  • Stay current with industry standards, product advancements, and regulatory requirements
  • Represent the company with professionalism, empathy, and a patient-first mindset
  • Ability to travel for sales in Michigan
Knowledge and Skills Preferred
  • ATP certification (RESNA) required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Background in rehabilitation, DME, occupational/physical therapy, or related field preferred
  • Experience with complex rehabilitation technology and seating/mobility systems strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
