Job description

Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 annually, based on credentials, educational background, and relevant experience (signing bonus for those with an AMI Credential).

STEAMspark is seeking a Credentialed Elementary Montessori Guide to serve students from the ages of 6 to 12 Years Old. The Montessori Guide plays a multifaceted role in the classroom, supporting each child's holistic development and fostering a love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom walls.

We are looking for a certified Montessori guide with the talent to enrich the learning environment with the STEAMspark curriculum, incorporating age-appropriate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics concepts.


AMI Credentialed Guides may be eligible for a signing bonus based on credential level, experience, and start date.

Please note: Signing bonuses are exclusively available to guides holding an AMI Montessori credential.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ignite the spark in the classroom.
  • Complete school-sponsored AMS Montessori training.
  • Implement the Montessori philosophy and curriculum into a multi-age learning environment.
  • Prepare and present lesson plans accommodating for differences in student learning styles.
  • Plan appropriate activities with materials that reflect an understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
  • Introduce strategies and resources, including technology, that keep students engaged.
  • Conduct and document ongoing formal and informal assessments of student achievement.
  • Create a peaceful classroom environment conducive to learning through appropriate classroom management strategies.
  • Establish and maintain open and effective communication channels with students, parents, staff, and the administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Associate's degree
  • 3+ years experience as a classroom teacher, Montessori Guide, and/or Montessori Assistant
  • Montessori Credential from a MACTE accredited center

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Existing AMI Credential


Compensation

  • $55,000 to $65,000 annually, based on credentials, educational background, and relevant experience.
  • Signing bonus available for qualified AMI Credentialed Guides

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit on the floor for presenting lessons.
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
