As an AMFT, you will participate in regular individual or group supervision sessions with a licensed supervisor, which is a vital part of your training and development. Supervisors review your casework, provide guidance on best practices, and help you navigate complex client situations while ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards. This collaborative relationship not only supports your clinical decision-making but also helps you refine your therapeutic style and prepares you for independent practice. The feedback and mentorship you receive are instrumental in building confidence, professional expertise, and satisfying state licensure requirements.
