Associate Therapist - Adults & Couples Therapist


This position is perfect for a registered AMFT, ACSW, or APCC with experience providing therapy to adults/couples, who loves working relationally with adults and is looking for a home at a professional private pay group practice. We offer a supportive and positive work culture, great work-life balance, rapid client referrals, ongoing training, and competitive pay and benefits.


All hired associates at Love Heal Grow (LHG) participate in a 6-month training & educational period in addition to seeing clients; this includes 5 hours a week of paid advanced training to further their skills as a therapist.

Compensation:

$50 - $80 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psychotherapy for adult individuals and couples while receiving training and clinical supervision
  • Complete an average of 24+ appointments a week (full-time) or 15+ appointments a week (part-time)
  • Manage all clinical admin tasks with strong attention to detail in order to provide high-quality customer service to clients
  • Complete 120+ hours of paid training in our practice's therapeutic specializations
  • Attend supervision and staff meetings regularly
  • Contribute positively to work culture by being supportive and collaborative with teammates.
  • Manage and coordinate their calendar and client communications, using practice software and technology

Qualifications:

  • Look forward to completing our special training in couples therapy, sex therapy, and therapy for high-functioning adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, or grief

  • Use a relational approach in all work and connect strongly to at least one of the following therapy descriptors (or similar ways of practice): Rogerian/person-centered, experiential, Gestalt, psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, process-oriented, emotionally-focused couples therapy, existential, depth psychology. Clients describe you as warm and deeply empathic. You practice good boundaries with clients and colleagues
  • Be extremely organized, responsible, and tech-friendly
  • You have worked in a professional environment before and have strong customer service skills.
  • Be no stranger to the client's experience in therapy. You’ve connected to your own therapeutic/healing work, and continue to self-monitor, seek support, and practice good self-care
  • Be experienced in providing counseling services to adults and/or couples

Mandatory requirements:

  • Have a current State of CA BBS registration as a registered associate marriage & family therapist or associate professional clinical counselor
  • We are looking for therapists who would like to work at a group practice for the long term
  • 12 hours of nights/weekends are required during your first year as an associate in order to support you in building a reliable caseload in a timely manner
