Parent Involvement & Community Outreach Program

Position Overview

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Bilingual Associate Therapist (ACSW or AMFT) to support a school district in the Jurupa/Riverside area for the full 2026–2027 school year.

This onsite, school-based role focuses on family engagement, parent support, and strengthening connections between home, school, and community resources.

Spanish fluency is required, as this position serves a predominantly Spanish-speaking parent and caregiver population.

The ideal candidate is culturally responsive, community-focused, and passionate about empowering families to actively participate in their children’s educational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and support parents and caregivers through a school-based parent involvement and community outreach program
  • Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community organizations
  • Provide outreach, brief counseling support, case management, and referrals to community resources
  • Facilitate parent workshops, meetings, and educational sessions in English and Spanish
  • Support family engagement initiatives and attendance improvement efforts
  • Assist families in navigating school systems, mental health resources, and social services
  • Collaborate with administrators, counselors, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service notes, and program reports
  • Participate in SST, IEP, and family support meetings as appropriate
  • Utilize culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practices
Minimum Requirements
  • Active California registration as either:
    • Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) OR
    • Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT)
  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written) – required
  • Experience with family engagement, parent involvement, or community outreach programs preferred
  • School-based, nonprofit, or community mental health experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Reliable transportation for travel between sites, if needed
  • Availability for the full 2026–2027 school year
