Americo is hiring a full time Manager, Strategy to join our expanding team!
Overview
The Manager of Strategy will be responsible for supporting Americo in the articulation, evaluation, and execution of Americo's business strategy. This role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leaders to identify strategic opportunities, analyze customer, market, and business trends, develop data-driven recommendations, and monitor the performance of strategic initiatives. The Manager of Strategy will also partner with key business areas to build and update department strategies, maintain strategic initiative roadmaps, and drive critical, strategic, organizational initiatives that drive organizational growth, operational effectiveness, and long-term value creation. This role will be instrumental in translating analysis of opportunities into actionable initiatives in support of Americo's business strategy, and will serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and document corporate and departmental strategies.
  • Lead strategic initiative planning efforts across departments.
  • Partner with business leaders to conduct feasibility analyses on future opportunities.
  • Support business case development and financial modeling for strategic initiatives.
  • Lead execution and delivery of strategic initiatives, including product evaluations, platform implementations, and operational/process improvements.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to shape and execute strategic efforts
  • Support ongoing tracking of benefits realization of executed strategic initiatives
  • Gather and validate internal operational data to support prioritization of strategic opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level reports outlining progress against strategic priorities.
  • Competitor research and insights
  • Analysis of customer and market trends (market sizing, customer segmentation, etc.)
  • Ongoing review of innovation and technology trends

Required Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in consulting, accounting, finance, or corporate strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and business case development.
  • Experience working with analytics or business intelligence tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, synthesize, and present large volumes of data.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the life insurance or annuity industry.
