YOUR ROLE

Drive best value components into Versigent Americas product designs

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze bill of material and work with cross functional team to identify and quantify component value opportunities
  • Work as liaison between OEM and supply base to get components fully validated and approved for usage
  • Work across internal cross functional team to rapidly implement best cost component opportunities
  • Support purchasing team in component strategy development
  • Lead engineering evaluation of new components including robustness and total system cost
  • Work with Global teams to ensure sharing of opportunities for best value components
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor or Degree required, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical)
  • Experience (2+ years) in Product Engineering or Technical Sales
  • Must have experience working with connectors / terminals or wire harnesses
  • Experience working directly with OEM for part approvals preferred
  • Strong communication skills with ability to create presentations
  • Experience working directly with clients (face to face)
  • Ability to travel - mostly local
