Job description

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Vice President of Sales to drive individual life insurance and annuity sales growth through independent distribution partners across the Western United States. This remote sales leadership role is responsible for developing and expanding relationships with Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), Managing General Agencies (MGAs), Producer Groups, General Agents, and independent insurance producers. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in life insurance distribution, agency development, territory management, partner recruitment, sales strategy, and business development. Candidates must reside in the Western U.S. and be willing to travel extensively throughout the region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Drive Regional Sales Growth & Business Results:
  • Achieve regional production goals, including new business and quarterly/annual sales targets
  • Identify market opportunities and develop strategic growth plans with distribution targets
  • Execute sales and marketing initiatives that drive profitable business growth
  • Maintain strong business persistency and quality standards

Build & Expand Distribution Relationships:
  • Identify, recruit and develop high-performing distribution partners and producers
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with IMO's, MGA's, General Agents and producers
  • Lead Onboarding and integration of new distribution partners
  • Conduct regular agency visits and maintain ongoing communication with key partners
  • Leverage internal resources to strengthen and expand distribution relationships

Manage Partner Performance & Market Strategy:
  • Conduct regular business reviews to evaluate production results and growth opportunities with distribution partners
  • Monitor sales performance against established sales and business objectives and standards
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve results and address performance gaps

Deliver Sales Support, Product Expertise and Training, & Operational Support:
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the company's product portfolio and sales solutions
  • Support new product launches and promote existing product offerings
  • Conduct live/virtual presentations, workshops and training sessions for distribution partners
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to enhance field effectiveness
  • Partner with internal departments to resolve operational and service-related issues

KEY REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years of insurance industry experience with demonstrated knowledge of life insurance products (like Whole Life, Indexed Universal Life, Term Life and annuity) and life insurance marketing concepts; proven track record of recruiting producing Independent Distribution (IMOs, MGAs, PPGAs and writing agents)
  • Excellent verbal, written and consultative selling and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to cross functionally collaborate (Operations, Marketing, and other sales teams)
  • Willinngesss and ability to travel 50% or more

Preferred Experience:
  • Sales territory management experience
  • Existing and established relationships with insurance agencies, producers and prospective distribution contacts
  • Experience leading business reviews, sales planning discussions, and product or concept-based training sessions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and other business technology, sales reporting tools, presentation and insurance sales illustration software
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus
