Electrical Panel AssemblerPosition Summary
We are looking for a motivated Electrical Panel Assembler to support the production of industrial control systems used in high-performance waterjet equipment. This role begins with assembling panel backplates and mounting electrical hardware before progressing into complete panel wiring, testing, and final integration. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on assembly work, has a solid understanding of electrical components, and can work effectively from technical documentation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble and install electrical components onto panel backplates according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Mount breakers, relays, terminals, and other electrical devices within control enclosures.
- Perform wiring, routing, and termination of electrical connections for complete control panel assemblies.
- Build and configure control cabinets and electrical enclosures to manufacturing specifications.
- Read and follow electrical diagrams, schematics, and assembly documentation.
- Use crimping tools, soldering equipment, and hand tools to complete electrical and mechanical assembly tasks.
- Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting using electrical test equipment, including multimeters and continuity testers.
- Verify assemblies meet quality standards before final release.
- Accurately document work performed using electronic work instructions and production tracking systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in electrical assembly, panel building, wiring, or electromechanical manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, wire termination, and crimping techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills for accessing digital work instructions and recording production information.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training, trade school education, or certifications related to electrical or mechanical systems.
- Experience building industrial control panels, switchgear, or automation equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
