Job description

Amazon's Reputation Marketing & Insights team is looking for a versatile, AI-fluent Designer who can build and ship campaign creative across every format we touch - digital, video, social, OOH, and whatever's next. You're the person who can do a little bit of everything well, move fast, and use generative AI to multiply your output. We still hire agencies and specialists for big swings - your job is to be the creative engine that keeps everything else moving.
We don't need a specialist. We need a creative generalist who can build a deck of AI-generated storyboards before lunch, art direct a video edit in the afternoon, adapt the whole thing into a social toolkit by EOD. You're fast, resourceful, and allergic to preciousness - you'd rather generate 20 directions than polish one to death. The right person treats AI as a core part of their creative process, not a novelty. You're already using generative tools to ideate faster, prototype at higher fidelity, and explore more territory than traditional workflows allow.
A few things to know upfront: This role doesn't live in one lane - if you only want to do motion, or only want to do social, it's not the right fit. We don't wait for perfect briefs; we move fast and iterate in the open. And AI isn't a side experiment here - it's how we work, every day, across every stage of the creative process.
Key job responsibilities
Support creative development and design campaign creative across digital, social, video, and out-of-home formats, using AI to enhance ideation and visual reference development
Use AI tools daily to generate storyboards, reference imagery, mood boards, motion treatments, and rapid prototypes - whatever accelerates the work
Execute across formats - you're equally comfortable building a social toolkit, roughing a video edit, mocking up transit ads, and designing presentation decks
Define and maintain visual standards for AI-generated and AI-assisted assets, ensuring brand consistency as tools evolve
Collaborate with producers, copywriters, and agencies to translate concepts into finished work - you know when to hand off and when to finish it yourself
Partner with Creative Leads to adapt and version creative across audiences, markets, and placements without losing the idea
Raise the bar for the team - establish workflows, share what's working with AI tools, and help teammates level up their own generative capabilities
Move fast in ambiguity - RMI operates on reputation timelines, not product launch cycles. You'll sometimes go from brief to deliverable in days, not weeks
About the team
Our team employs a range of data inputs to learn about the most impactful way to reach our audiences. While we follow the data, we are also not afraid to challenge it. We elevate truths about our brand. We meet our audiences where they are and go deep on channel-specific creative. Most of all, we respect our audiences through thoughtful and intentional work. Our team strives to identify the persuasive return on investment for every dollar we spend. We build marketing plans that persuade our core audiences through best-in-class media tactics and measurement methodology that enables us to optimize towards the principles and platforms that achieve real-world outcomes at the expense of those that don't.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and advertising experience across a range of media and platforms, along with work that reflects your design process
- Knowledge of typographic and brand design principles
- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
- 5+ years of design experience across multiple formats (not just one discipline)
- Demonstrated fluency with generative AI tools for image, video, or design workflows (specific tools don't matter - fluency and adaptability do)
- Experience working with video teams (you don't need to be an editor, but you need to speak the language)
- Comfort operating without a detailed brief - you can take a strategic direction and figure out what it looks like
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
- Experience in brand reputation, corporate communications, or advocacy campaigns
- Experience establishing creative processes for a small team
- Comfort with light video editing or motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere, CapCut - whatever gets it done)
