Job description

Sr Ecommerce Graphic Designer/Digital Marketing Designer/Visual Content Producer

Company: StoreYour

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Head of Product & Brand

About StoreYour

StoreYour creates thoughtfully designed storage products that help people make space for what they love. From bikes, kayaks, skis, and golf equipment to garage organization and outdoor gear, our products help customers spend less time managing clutter and more time enjoying their homes and hobbies.

We sell through StoreYour.com, other major e-commerce channels, and retailers. As our brand and product portfolio continue to grow, we are looking for a highly capable internal content creator who can bring greater speed, consistency, creativity, and ownership to our content production.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Ecommerce Graphic Designer to become the central creative production resource for StoreYour.

This is not a narrowly defined graphic design, photography, or video editing role. It is a multidisciplinary, hands-on position for someone who can take a product launch, campaign, or merchandising objective and turn it into a coordinated set of high-quality assets across our website, email, advertising, social media, marketplaces, catalogs, and other marketing channels.

Today, portions of this work are handled by freelance graphic designers, external video editors, and internal team members. This person will bring those activities together under one highly accountable internal owner.

The ideal candidate combines strong visual judgment, e-commerce instincts, technical production skills, and excellent project management. They should be comfortable personally creating and editing content while also directing freelancers, photographers, and internal contributors when specialized support is needed.

What You Will OwnE-Commerce Campaign Content

  • Develop the visual content and supporting assets for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, promotions, and brand initiatives.
  • Translate campaign goals and creative concepts into complete asset packages for StoreYour.com.
  • Create homepage hero graphics, promotional banners, landing-page imagery, collection-page assets, product callouts, and other site content.
  • Build coordinated campaign assets across web, email, paid media, social media, and marketplace channels.
  • Ensure campaigns launch on time with a consistent visual story across every customer touchpoint.
  • Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, product development, and merchandising teams to understand campaign priorities and commercial objectives.

Website and Product Content

  • Create and maintain visual assets used throughout StoreYour.com.
  • Support product page development with lifestyle images, feature callouts, comparison graphics, diagrams, infographics, and other conversion-focused content.
  • Improve the presentation of existing products by identifying content gaps and producing stronger imagery, graphics, and video.
  • Resize, adapt, and optimize assets for desktop, mobile, email, marketplaces, social platforms, and paid advertising.
  • Help ensure that content clearly communicates product quality, functionality, differentiation, warranty, and ideal customer use cases.
  • Work with the e-commerce team to test and improve content based on conversion performance and customer behavior.

Email Creative

  • Create visual assets for promotional emails, product announcements, educational campaigns, and automated email flows.
  • Partner with the email marketing team to develop creative that is visually engaging, easy to understand, and designed to drive action.
  • Produce campaign graphics, product groupings, promotional modules, GIFs, and other email-ready content.
  • Adapt broader campaign concepts into email-specific creative rather than simply resizing website assets.
  • Maintain consistency between email messaging, landing pages, offers, and on-site content.

Video Production and Editing

  • Edit product, lifestyle, instructional, social, advertising, and campaign video content.
  • Turn raw footage into polished short-form and long-form videos for StoreYour.com, YouTube, email, social media, paid advertising, Amazon, and other e-commerce channels.
  • Create product demonstrations, installation videos, feature explainers, launch teasers, customer education content, and lifestyle edits.
  • Add titles, captions, graphics, music, transitions, voiceover, and other production elements as needed.
  • Recut and reformat existing footage into multiple versions, lengths, aspect ratios, and platform-specific executions.
  • Develop repeatable video templates that allow the company to produce more content efficiently.
  • Manage external video editors when project volume or production complexity requires additional support.

Photography and Content Shoots

  • Plan and coordinate product and lifestyle photo and video shoots.
  • Develop shot lists, creative briefs, visual references, prop lists, location requirements, and production schedules.
  • Work with internal team members, photographers, models, contractors, and external partners to execute shoots efficiently.
  • Provide hands-on creative direction during shoots to ensure that the final content meets website, email, advertising, and marketplace requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to capture multiple campaigns and asset types during a single shoot.
  • Organize and manage raw photography and video so that assets can be located, edited, and reused easily.
  • Perform light product photography or video capture internally when appropriate.

Creative Production and Design

  • Create high-quality digital graphics using tools such as AI, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva, Figma, or comparable platforms.
  • Handle a majority of day-to-day graphic production internally.
  • Develop layouts, image compositions, typography treatments, product feature graphics, and promotional creative.
  • Use existing brand standards while helping evolve StoreYour’s visual identity and creative systems.
  • Create reusable templates that improve speed and consistency across campaigns.
  • Brief and manage outside creative partners, review their work, provide feedback, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met, mostly a consideration for influencer and ambassador relationships.

Content Operations and Asset Management

  • Own the content production calendar across product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and ongoing site improvements.
  • Manage projects from initial brief through final delivery and implementation.
  • Establish clear timelines, dependencies, approval processes, and asset requirements.
  • Build and maintain an organized digital asset library with consistent file naming, version control, usage rights, and channel specifications.
  • Maintain source files and working files so that assets can be updated efficiently.
  • Document creative standards, file specifications, and repeatable production workflows.
  • Help reduce last-minute requests, duplicated work, and dependence on disconnected external resources.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, this person will have:

  • Established a reliable internal content production process for product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Reduced the time required to move from a campaign idea to finished, channel-ready assets.
  • Improved the quality and consistency of content across StoreYour.com, email, social, advertising, and marketplaces.
  • Increased the quantity and usefulness of video content available for products and campaigns.
  • Reduced unnecessary reliance on freelance resources.
  • Improved coordination between product, marketing, e-commerce, and creative contributors.
  • Developed repeatable templates and production systems that allow StoreYour to create more content without sacrificing quality.
  • Helped improve customer understanding, engagement, and conversion through stronger product storytelling.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in content production, digital design, creative production, e-commerce marketing, video production, or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating work across several of the following areas:
  • E-commerce websites
  • Product launches
  • Digital campaigns
  • Email creative
  • Product photography
  • Lifestyle photography
  • Video editing
  • Social media content
  • Paid advertising creative
  • Product feature graphics and infographics
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent professional creative tools.
  • Examples of successfully leveraging AI to compliment but not overtake the creation experience.
  • Demonstrated video editing experience.
  • Strong understanding of image composition, typography, visual hierarchy, color, pacing, and brand consistency.
  • Experience creating content for Shopify or another major e-commerce platform.
  • Ability to create assets that are not only visually attractive but also commercially effective.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage several campaigns, launches, and production deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback, revising work, and operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong quality-control instincts.
  • Able to move fluidly between strategic creative thinking and hands-on production work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a consumer products, home organization, outdoor, sporting goods, lifestyle, furniture, hardware, or direct-to-consumer brand.
  • Experience creating content for Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, or other online marketplaces.
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or comparable email marketing platforms.
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or 3D rendering workflows.
  • Photography, videography, lighting, or audio-production experience.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools for image ideation, editing, scripting, storyboarding, asset variation, and production efficiency.
  • Understanding of e-commerce metrics such as conversion rate, click-through rate, engagement, and creative testing.
  • Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, Shopify theme editors, or landing-page creation tools.
