You'll own the portfolio optimization scorecard that classifies products for internal manufacturing versus contract manufacturer (CM) transition, managing the technical hand-off strategy to ensure manufacturing knowledge transfer, quality standards, and operational readiness criteria are embedded in CM contracts before production scale.
You'll build the business cases and capability roadmaps to close manufacturing gaps-whether that's advancing our machining capabilities, developing new assembly processes, or investing in emerging manufacturing technologies that give Amazon Robotics competitive advantage

This is a high-impact role requiring deep manufacturing technology expertise and the ability to influence senior engineering and operations leaders. - Identify capability gaps and build business cases for capability expansion
- Proactively mitigate technical risks and architectural constraints
- Escalate to Senior/Principal Engineers when needed; influence teams to eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks
Customer Engagement & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Serve as primary intake/insourcing interface across RMTO leadership
- Drive executive discussions; produce MBR/QBR narratives
