What is an Amazon Team Lead?

Amazon Team Leads are frontline supervisors responsible for overseeing a team of associates within Amazon's fulfillment centers, sortation centers, or delivery stations. They coordinate daily operations, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and help drive productivity. Team Leads also provide guidance, coaching, and support to their team members, assisting with problem-solving and workflow improvements. Their role is crucial in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and meeting Amazon’s high standards for customer satisfaction.

How does an Amazon Team Lead balance managing daily operational tasks with supporting team development?

As an Amazon Team Lead, you'll play a dual role: overseeing daily workflows to ensure targets are met while also coaching and developing your associates. This requires effective time management to monitor performance metrics, handle staffing adjustments, and resolve operational challenges, all while providing on-the-floor guidance and feedback to team members. Prioritizing clear communication and fostering a supportive work environment is crucial, as you'll frequently collaborate with other leaders and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Balancing these responsibilities helps the team stay productive while also growing professionally.

Amazon Compliance Specialist

Kitsch LLC

Los Angeles, CA • Remote

Full-time

Job description

About Us

KITSCH is proud to be recognized as a self-financed, female-owned global accessory brand built on positivity and pure hard work. Established in 2010, with a business plan no longer than a paragraph, Kitsch has grown from door to door sales to selling products in over 27 countries across 20,000 retail locations worldwide.

We believe that everyone should feel confident when purchasing our products no matter your hair type, style or budget.
About the Role:

KITSCH is seeking an experienced Amazon Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce compliance, regulatory affairs, and marketplace operations. You will be the go-to person making sure every product we sell meets local regulations, Amazon policy requirements, and labeling standards before it ever hits a warehouse. This role sits at the intersection of legal, supply chain, catalog, and marketplace operations. Candidates should be highly organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable working autonomously across US and international storefronts.

Key responsibilities:

US Amazon Compliance

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all Amazon US product listing policies, including restricted products, category-specific requirements, and claims validation.
  • Own the relationship with Amazon compliance teams and manage any listing suppression, ASIN-level flags, or policy violation escalations.
  •  Ensure all product detail pages, A+ content, and advertising copy meet Amazon guidelines and FTC requirements.
  • Track changes to Amazon Terms of Service, Category Listing Reports, and compliance enforcement patterns. Proactively flag risks before they become problems.
  • Manage product safety documentation, testing certifications (CPSIA, Prop 65, FDA cosmetic regs), and maintain an organized compliance document library.

International Compliance

  • Lead compliance for all international Amazon marketplaces (UK, EU, CA, JP, AU, MX and any future expansion).
  • Own VAT registration, filing coordination, and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) obligations across all active EU member states and UK.
  • Manage country-specific labeling and packaging requirements. Coordinate with supply chain to ensure correct labels, warnings, and translations ship with every unit.
  • Stay current on evolving EU regulations (GPSR, CLP, REACH, CE marking) and ensure all products meet requirements before FBA inbound.
Work with freight and 3PL partners to ensure customs documentation, HS code accuracy, and import compliance across DDP shipments.

Labeling & Packaging Compliance

  • Develop and maintain a master labeling matrix by SKU and marketplace covering required warnings, symbols, barcodes, language, and regulatory marks.
  • Review all new product packaging artwork for compliance before production approval.
  • Coordinate with product development and manufacturers to integrate compliance requirements into the product creation process from day one.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with legal counsel on regulatory questions, demand letters, IP enforcement, and policy interpretation
  • Work closely with the catalog, advertising, and creative teams to ensure every customer-facing asset is compliant.
  • Build internal SOPs and training materials so the broader Amazon team can self-serve on routine compliance checks.
  • Provide compliance input on new product launches, new marketplace entries, and deal strategy (Prime Day, BFCM, etc.).

Please note in your application if you have experience with EU regulatory compliance or EPR schemes.

Core Competencies and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce compliance, regulatory affairs, or marketplace operations. Amazon-specific experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central compliance workflows, including listing health, product safety, and brand registry.
  • Familiarity with US consumer product regulations (CPSIA, Prop 65, FTC advertising guidelines, FDA cosmetic rules).
  • Hands-on experience with VAT, EPR, and customs compliance for cross-border e-commerce. EU and UK experience is a must.
  • Strong understanding of product labeling requirements across multiple geographies.
  • Highly organized with obsessive attention to detail — you do not let things slip through the cracks.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. We move quickly and need someone who can keep up without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Excellent written communication. You can translate dense regulatory language into clear, actionable guidance for non-compliance teammates.
  • Experience with consumer products (beauty, personal care, health, or wellness) is a strong plus.
  • Our Values
    • 💡Intuitive – Proactive Problem Solver: We’re proactive, not reactive. When something doesn’t feel right, we pause, speak up, and fix it with honesty and integrity.
    • 🎯 Takes Pride in Our Work – Accountability: We own our work with pride. On-time delivery, thoughtful processes, and team-wide trust lead to great outcomes.
    • 🧹 Willingness to Sweep the Floors – Humble and Inclusive: We lead with humility and support. No task is too small, and no voice too quiet. Everyone belongs.
  • A dynamic team
  • An open mind for new ideas
  • Growth… growth and some more growth!
  • Location: Remote
